Crews were dispatched to 100 block S. MARKET ST — CARRIAGE HOUSE APTS in Frederick at 8:54 a.m. for a reported commercial fire alarm. Responding units included Engine E31, Tiller Truck TT4, Ambulance A18 and Advanced Life Support ALS4. At 8:57 a.m., E31, TT4 on the scene of a 3-story building. Nothing evident. Audible alarm. At 9:00 a.m., reports burned food in a third floor apartment. Apartment full of smoke. TT4 setting up fan for ventilation. Engine E31 requested ambulance and ALS resource for one with trouble breathing. E31 establishing command.
At 3:09 p.m., crews were called to US-15 northbound near CATOCTIN FURNACE RD in Catoc Furn for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance A309, Ambulance A247, Rescue Squad R10, Rescue Squad R24, Engine E291, Paramedic Engine PE102, Engine Tanker EK224 and EMS Supervisor EMS902. At 3:16 p.m., Paramedic Engine PE102 arrived to find two vehicles involved. One in the roadway, one in the median. At 3:18 p.m., A247, A309 and PE102 remained on the call. Other units in service.
A reported gas odor inside brought crews to 1200 block PALLADIAN WAY in Coventry at 3:55 p.m. Responding units included Engine E11, Engine E501, Ambulance A19, Battalion Chief BC901 and SAF901. At 3:59 p.m., Engine E11 arrived at a two-story residential and found nothing evident. The occupants were outside. Engine E11 began investigating. At 4:03 p.m., reports 3 occupants who have evacuated are reporting dizziness.
Crews were dispatched to LEES LN near BURKITTSVILLE RD in Burkittsville at 5:54 p.m. for a reported motorcycle accident. Responding units included Ambulance A196, Rescue Squad R19, Paramedic Engine PE52, Rescue Squad R20 and EMS Supervisor EMS902. At 5:58 p.m., Ambulance A196 arrived. single rider located off the roadway in a field. At 6:00 p.m., reports patient alert and oriented.
At 5:57 p.m., crews were called to I-270 southbound near Route 80 in Urbana for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance A239, Ambulance A259, Rescue Squad R3, Engine E231, Paramedic Engine PE251 and Tiller Truck TT23. At 6:04 p.m., Tiller Truck TT23 arrived. 2 vehicles on the shoulder just south of Park Mills Rd. At 6:06 p.m., reports all occupants are out. A239, A259, E231 and TT23 remained on the call. At 1:05 p.m., Advanced Life Support ALS4 arrived. one down in the parking lot. At 1:07 p.m., placing EMS902 in service.
