Crews were dispatched to WILSON PL near TANEY AVE — PLAYGROUND at 2:52 p.m. for a reported entrapment. Responding units included Engine E501, Rescue Squad R2 and Ambulance A19. At 2:52 p.m., units were alerted for a child stuck in a swing. At 3:00 p.m., a report indicated the child had been freed from the swing.
At 6:07 p.m., crews were called to the 1300 block of W. PATRICK ST — FREDERICKTOWNE AUTO REPAIR in Frederick Towne Mall / District 40 for a reported electrical hazard inside. Responding units included Engine E11, Engine E31 and Tiller Truck TT4. At 6:13 p.m., Engine E11 arrived at the single-story commercial structure. Engine E11 found nothing evident, and Engine E11 began investigating. At 6:15 p.m., the 360-assessment was completed, and a water leak was located inside the adjacent liquor store that was impinging on an electrical hazard.
A reported house fire brought crews to the 1600 block of PORTER CREEK CT in Mt. Airy at 1:32 p.m. Responding units included Engine E152, Paramedic Engine PE251, Rescue Squad R15 and Ambulance A158.
Crews were dispatched to SYKESVILLE RD near MINERS RIDGE DR in Gamber at 5:17 p.m. for a reported water rescue. Responding units included DIVE15, Brush BR156, TR29 and BT29.
At 11:00 a.m., crews were called to the 100 block of N. MARKET ST — FREDERICK INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY CENTER for a reported electrical hazard outside. Responding units included Engine E31 and EMSUTV40. At 11:04 a.m., EMSUTV40 arrived. EMSUTV40 confirmed the electrical odor, while the E31 crew performed meter readings. At 11:20 a.m., the investigation found no hazards present.
A reported commercial fire alarm brought crews to the 5800 block of BALLENGER CREEK PIKE — BALLENGER CREEK PLAZA at 7:59 p.m. Responding units included Engine E311 and Tower TW1. At 8:03 p.m., Engine E311 arrived at the single-story commercial strip mall and found nothing evident. Engine E311 began investigating. At 8:09 p.m., a broken sprinkler head was located in the end-unit business. TW1 was shutting down sprinkler flow.
Crews were dispatched to the 5500 block of URBANA PIKE — MICHAELS in Riverview Plaza at 6:38 p.m. for a reported outside fire. Responding units included Brush BR35. At 6:44 p.m., crews were in the area investigating. At 6:48 p.m., a report indicated the fire had been at a homeless encampment and was extinguished before crews arrived. BR35 was in service.
At 1:56 p.m., crews were called to the 1000 block of W. PATRICK ST in Golden Mile for a reported vehicle accident triggered by an automatic crash notification. Responding units included Ambulance A38 and Engine E11. At 2:02 p.m., units checked the area and found nothing. Units were in service.
