I-70 Rollover Among Multiple Roadway Incidents
Crews were dispatched to I-70 westbound near HOLLOW RD in Braddock Heights at 2:20 p.m. for a reported vehicle accident — rollover. Responding units included Ambulance A129, Ambulance A89, Advanced Life Support ALS8, Rescue Squad R8, Engine E121, Rescue Engine RE74, Battalion Chief BC903, Battalion Chief BC902 and EMS Supervisor EMS901. At 2:28 p.m., Engine E121 arrived, and Engine E121 established command. At 2:29 p.m., there were reports of one occupant confined to the vehicle. R8 was to provide extrication upon arrival.
At 12:18 a.m., crews were called to I-70 westbound near 46MM for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance A78, Ambulance A89, Rescue Squad R8, Engine E121, Rescue Engine RE74, Hazmat HM33 and HMSU33. At 12:26 a.m., Engine E121 arrived to find a tractor-trailer on the shoulder. Engine E121 began checking on the occupants. At 12:28 a.m., there were reports of one patient for evaluation. A78 and E121 remained on the call. Other units were in service.
A reported vehicle accident brought crews to I-270 southbound near I-70 in Frederick at 3:16 p.m. Responding units included Ambulance A18, Ambulance A319, Rescue Squad R3, Engine E11, Paramedic Engine PE311 and C1. At 3:21 p.m., Engine E11 arrived. The incident involved a vehicle into the guardrail, north of New Design Rd. A18, A319 and E11 remained on the call.
Crews were dispatched to HILLCREST DR near PENDLETON DR at 3:29 p.m. for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance A37, Engine E3 and C3-C. At 3:33 p.m., C3-C arrived to find two vehicles involved. All occupants were out. At 3:34 p.m., the incident was reported as a property damage collision, with no Fire/EMS services required.
At 4:19 p.m., crews were called to RT15NB near W. for a reported vehicle accident. At 4:21 p.m., C3 arrived. 3 vehicles were involved, just south of the bridge over W. Patrick St. At 4:23 p.m., there were reports of one patient for evaluation, with a possible refusal. A18 and R3 remained on the call. Other responding units were in service.
A report of wires down or arcing brought crews to Route 17 near BRENTLAND RD at 2:09 a.m. Responding units included Paramedic Engine PE52. At 2:18 a.m., Paramedic Engine PE52 arrived to find a utility pole and wires down across the roadway. Paramedic Engine PE52 requested that the power company respond. At 2:21 a.m., Paramedic Engine PE52 requested Fire-Police for traffic control.
Crews were dispatched to the 5200 block of PRESIDENTS CT — JRC WESTVIEW CORNER at 7:11 a.m. for a reported commercial fire alarm. Responding units included Paramedic Engine PE311 and Tiller Truck TT4. At 7:13 a.m., Paramedic Engine PE311 arrived at a single-story commercial strip. Paramedic Engine PE311 found nothing evident. Paramedic Engine PE311 began investigating. At 7:16 a.m., the investigation found no hazards present.
At 8:44 a.m., crews were called to the 7200 block of MARCIES CHOICE LN — COUNTY WORK RELEASE CENTER for a reported commercial fire alarm. Responding units included Paramedic Engine PE311 and Tower TW1. At 8:48 a.m., Paramedic Engine PE311 arrived to normal conditions and began investigating. At 8:49 a.m., TW1 was placed in service.
