I-70 Rollover, Marcy Drive Gas Odor and Multiple Roadway Incidents

Crews were dispatched to I-70 eastbound near I-270 in Frederick at 6:00 a.m. for a reported vehicle accident - entrapment. Responding units included Engine 11, Ambulance 38, Ambulance 18, Advanced Life Support 31, Engine 31, Rescue Squad 3, C15-C, Battalion Chief 903 and EMS Supervisor 901. At 6:05 a.m., Safety 901 arrived. tractor trailer off the roadway at the split for I-270. At 6:06 a.m., reports 2 vehicles involved, one occupant trapped in a van. Establishing initial command.

At 7:23 a.m., crews were called to OLD NATIONAL PIKE near OLD CAMP RD for a reported vehicle accident - entrapment. Responding units included Ambulance 129, Ambulance 18, Advanced Life Support 8, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 121, Battalion Chief 903, EMS Supervisor 901 and ADMINDC900. At 7:20 a.m., happened upon the scene of a collision involving an unloaded school bus. ADMNDC900 requested additional resources. At 7:24 a.m., Battalion Chief 903 arrived. reports occupant is out. A129 and E121 remained on the call. Other responding units in service.

A reported mountain rescue brought crews to CALICO ROCKS CAMPGROUND — CALICO ROCKS CAMPGROUND in Point Of Rocks at 11:41 a.m. Responding units included Engine 281, Engine 201, LCAE610, Rescue Squad 20, Utility 19, EMS ATV/UTV 19, Ambulance 149, Advanced Life Support 20, Boat Support 28, Battalion Chief 903, Safety 901 and EMS Supervisor 901. At 11:43 a.m., Frederick ECC advises responding units of 2 bicyclists injured after a crash. At 11:48 a.m., at staging area in Point of Rocks train station lot, made contact with one of the callers. Crews are heading east approx. 1/2-mile along C&O Canal path. BTSU28 establishing command.

Crews were dispatched to I-70 westbound near LINGANORE RD at 1:12 a.m. for a reported vehicle accident - rollover. Responding units included Ambulance 339, Ambulance 38, Advanced Life Support 4, Engine 331, Engine 31, C15-C, Battalion Chief 901 and EMS Supervisor 901. At 1:18 a.m., Battalion Chief 901 arrived. single vehicle on its roof on the right shoulder. Occupant is out. BC901 establishing command. At 1:20 a.m., reports no entrapment. A339, ALS3 and E331 remained on the call. Other responding units in service.

At 11:51 a.m., crews were called to 100 block KINGS DR — NORTHWEST MIDDLE SCHOOL in Taneytown for a reported building fire. Responding units included Tower 6.

A reported motorcycle accident brought crews to BOYERS MILL RD near FINN DR in Summerfield at 1:12 p.m. Responding units included Ambulance 158, Advanced Life Support 23, Rescue Squad 15, Engine 251, Chief 15, EMS Supervisor 902 and Battalion Chief 901. At 1:14 p.m., Chief 15 arrived. one patient, assessing injuries. At 1:26 p.m., Chief 15 arrived. Chief 15 requested Trooper 3 for Priority 2/B patient.

Crews were dispatched to 3600 block QUANTUM PL S in Adamstown at 8:36 a.m. for a reported atv accident. Responding units included Ambulance 149, Advanced Life Support 20, Rescue Squad 14, Paramedic Engine 311, Rescue Squad 14, Battalion Chief 901 and EMS Supervisor 901. At 8:41 a.m., dispatchers advised responding crews that patient was trapped between ATV and forklift. At 8:47 a.m., Rescue Squad 14 arrived. patient no longer trapped. A149 evaluating.

At 10:45 a.m., crews were called to 8100 block GLENDALE DR in Clover Hill for a reported unknown odor inside. Responding units included Engine 11, Engine 501, Truck 50, Tanker 1 and Battalion Chief 902. At 10:47 a.m., dispatchers advised responding crews that caller states there is an unknown chemical odor in the residence; noticed over a 2-hour period. At 10:52 a.m., completed 360-assessment, single-story, normal conditions. BC902 establishing command.
