W. Seventh St — Frederick Health Development Office Gas Odor, Multiple Roadway Incidents

Crews were dispatched to RT340WB near US-15 in Jefferson at 9:08 p.m. for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance 18, Ambulance 198, Rescue Squad 20, Engine 11 and Engine 201. At 9:15 p.m., Rescue Squad 20 arrived. 2 vehicle rear-end collision. Rescue Squad 20 began checking on the occupants. At 9:16 p.m., reports 2 patients for evaluation. A198, A18, R20 and E201 remained on the call.

At 12:15 p.m., crews were called to 100 block W. PATRICK ST — FREDERICK COUNTY COURTHOUSE for a reported pedestrian struck. Responding units included Ambulance 38, Advanced Life Support 4, Rescue Squad 3 and EMS Supervisor 902. At 12:17 p.m., Rescue Squad 3 arrived. one pedestrian upright and walking. At 12:18 p.m., A38 and R3 remained on the call. Other responding units in service.

A reported gas odor inside brought crews to 400 block W. SEVENTH ST — FREDERICK HEALTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICE at 12:16 p.m. Responding units included Paramedic Engine 23, Engine 31 and Tiller Truck 4. At 12:17 p.m., Paramedic Engine 23 arrived. single-story commercial. Nothing evident, investigating. At 12:23 p.m., reports occupants reported gas leak to gas company; repairs made. Still experiencing slight odor. PE23 reports negative meter readings. Odor likely residual from earlier leak that was repaired.

Crews were dispatched to RAMP US-15 southbound TO RT40WB RAMP, PH2 at 1:37 p.m. for a reported vehicle accident triggered by an automatic crash notification. Responding units included Ambulance 19 and Paramedic Engine 23. At 1:39 p.m., dispatchers advised responding crews that the updated location is the Motel 6 parking lot. At 1:42 p.m., Paramedic Engine 23 arrived. 2 vehicles located in the Motel 6 parking lot on Baughmans Ln. Paramedic Engine 23 began checking on the occupants.

At 3:24 p.m., crews were called to 700 block MOTTER AVE — CATOCTIN MANOR APTS for a reported commercial fire alarm. Responding units included Paramedic Engine 23 and Tiller Truck 4. At 3:27 p.m., Paramedic Engine 23 arrived. of a 4-story apartment building. Paramedic Engine 23 found nothing evident. Paramedic Engine 23 began investigating. At 3:30 p.m., located an activated sprinkler head.

A reported commercial fire alarm brought crews to 16800 block S. SETON AVE — NATIONAL FIRE ACADEMY - BLDG C in Emmitsburg at 6:16 a.m. Responding units included Engine 61 and Tower 6. At 6:22 a.m., Engine 61 arrived at a 3-story building and found nothing evident. Active alarm. At 6:27 a.m., reports a malfunctioning smoke detector in a dormitory room. No hazards present. System has been reset. Units in service.

Crews were dispatched to 4300 block GREEN VALLEY RD in Monrovia at 6:41 a.m. for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance 259 and Paramedic Engine 251. At 6:43 a.m., Paramedic Engine 251 arrived. single vehicle on the side of the road. Checking on occupant. At 6:45 a.m., reports no crash, only a disabled vehicle. No fire department services needed.

At 8:34 a.m., crews were called to 100 block S. MARKET ST — FEDERATED CHARITIES in Frederick for a reported commercial fire alarm. Responding units included Engine 31 and Tiller Truck 4. At 8:35 a.m., Tiller Truck 4 arrived. 3-story building. Normal conditions. Investigation. At 8:38 a.m., reports that the alarm company is on-site conducting tests. No fire department services needed.
