Ball Road Rollover Among Multiple Roadway Incidents
Crews were dispatched to 5300 block NEW DESIGN RD — GIANT FOOD in Kingsbrook Plaza at 9:24 a.m. for a reported building fire. Responding units included Engine 141, Paramedic Engine 311, Engine 33, Paramedic Engine 23, Engine 331, Rescue Squad 3, Tiller Truck 4, Tower 1, Ambulance 319, Advanced Life Support 31, Chief 1, Battalion Chief 903, Battalion Chief 901 and Safety 901. At 9:25 a.m., Paramedic Engine 311 arrived. Exterior conditions were normal, and crews investigated a report of smoke in the building. At 9:26 a.m., Safety 901 arrived. Safety 901 established command. The building was being evacuated.
At 11:48 a.m., crews were called to 7200 block BEECHTREE LN in Braddock Heights for a reported building fire. Responding units included Engine 121, Rescue Engine 74, Engine 11, Engine 33, Engine 201, Rescue Squad 8, Tower 7, Tiller Truck 4, Ambulance 129, Advanced Life Support 8, Battalion Chief 903, Battalion Chief 901 and Safety 901. At 11:47 a.m., Engine 121 arrived. Engine 121 found nothing evident. Engine 121 began investigating. At 11:49 a.m., Engine 121 contacted the homeowner and conducted a 360-assessment. No hazards were present. It was a good-intent call, and all units returned to service.
A reported rollover vehicle accident brought crews to BALL RD near REELS MILL RD at 9:26 a.m. Responding units included Engine 231, Rescue Squad 15, Ambulance 38, Advanced Life Support 23, Tiller Truck 23, Hazmat 33, HMSU33, Chief 23, C23-B, EMS Supervisor 901 and Operations Deputy Chief 900. At 9:29 a.m., Chief 23 arrived. Chief 23 confirmed the incident involved an overturned dump truck. C23 was establishing command. At 9:30 a.m., reports indicated the driver had self-extricated. A38, ALS23, E231 and TT23 remained on the call. Other responding units returned to service.
Crews were dispatched to MONOCACY BLVD near MILL POND RD at 2:27 p.m. for a reported motorcycle accident. Responding units included Ambulance 299, Advanced Life Support 29, Rescue Squad 24, Engine 291, EMS Supervisor 902, MCH901 and Battalion Chief 902. At 2:30 p.m., MCH901 arrived and began checking on an e-bike rider. At 2:32 p.m., Engine 291 arrived. Engine 291 established command.
At 10:00 a.m., crews were called to 8400 block GAS HOUSE PIKE for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance 247, Ambulance 19, Advanced Life Support 17, Rescue Squad 3, Engine 33 and EMS Supervisor 901. At 10:06 a.m., Rescue Squad 3 arrived to find two vehicles involved. Rescue Squad 3 began checking on the occupants. At 10:09 a.m., Rescue Squad 3 requested an additional ambulance.

A reported vehicle accident brought crews to RT340EB near US-15 in Jefferson at 12:53 p.m. Responding units included Ambulance 209, Medic 198, Rescue Squad 20, Engine 201, Engine 11 and C1-D. At 12:56 p.m., C1-D arrived. 3 vehicles were involved on the ramp from US-15NB to Rte. 340EB. At 12:58 p.m., M198, A209 and R20 remained on the call. Other units returned to service.
Crews were dispatched to I-70 westbound near Route 17 in Myersville at 4:55 p.m. for a reported vehicle accident. Responding units included Ambulance 89, Ambulance 78, Rescue Squad 8, Rescue Engine 74 and Engine 212. At 4:58 p.m., Ambulance 89 arrived. The incident was I-70WB just before the exit for Rte. 17, with 2 vehicles in the fast lane. Ambulance 89 began checking on the occupants. At 5:01 p.m., reports indicated the collision involved property damage only. Units were clearing the scene when ready.
